Kourtney and Matt are the epitome of the ideal down-to-earth couple. They simply enjoy being with one another, discovering new food and beers and simply enjoying life. When they asked us to photograph their wedding we were so elated, mostly because they are our friends since high school and because we had just started Rivas Images not too long after they asked us to document their intimate beach wedding. We met at Rick Seltzer Park, it’s a neat little beach access dedicated to a local WW2 fighter pilot, it features a beautiful walkway to the sandy beach and it’s full of gorgeous sea oats.
Speaking of sea oats, Kourtney is such a dear soul and she plants sea oats yearly here on the beaches of panama city beach, florida they help protect our dunes which help preserve our town during hurricanes. In other words, stay off the sand dunes lol!
One thing we loved about their wedding that stuck out to us was they weren’t all flashy and fancy, they wore what they were comfortable in, and they looked damn good. Even their officiant wore a sailor’s hat, like, really, that’s super dope. From the azaleas she held, to the perfect weather we had that spring in May, it was a glorious day to get married. We absolutely love these two!
